Area 10 Agency on Aging’s annual Safe at Home Event, a half-day blitz to improve home safety for our older neighbors, is needing volunteers for Saturday, 10/4 from 9 to noon (or less, depending on project). The types of work needed are listed below, all different projects.
Non-skilled individuals are needed for cleaning gutters on a one-story home in Owen County. Skilled volunteers are needed for grab bar installation, replacing existing deck boards, and replacing and removing an existing deck walk with new treated wood. We’re needing volunteers by 9/24 to match with project and determine which homes we can do based on volunteers.
