This is a full scope optometric program with heavy emphasis on the diagnostic assessment and therapeutic management of ocular disease. The population includes, but is not restricted to a large number of glaucoma & diabetic patients. Student externs provide direct, complete eye care to our patients including applanation tonometry, biomicroscopy, gonioscopy, binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy, anterior segment & fundus photography, Humphrey visual fields, ocular ultrasound, optical coherence… Show more

Student externs also have the opportunity to take part in comprehensive eye care at one of our satellite clinics, on-ward examinations & other clinics within the hospital, i.e., neurology.
